– Meanwhile, part of the ceiling of the 775-seater Apollo Theatre in central London on Thursday collapsed during a performance based on the book of Mark Haddon, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time”. Scotland Yard reported that the collapsed happened around 20:15 in London (21:15 Brussels time). The police, emergency services and eight fire trucks quickly arrived on the spot. An eyewitness heard “creaks” shortly before the collapse, at about a quarter past nine Belgian time. “It was a complete chaos,” says an eyewitness to the Guardian newspaper. “It was absolutely terrifying and horrible. We came out running with cuts and bruises.” A 29 -year-old, who only gave his first name Ben, told the newspaper: “The show was about midway through the first half. We heard crackling and first thought the noise was part of the show. But then suddenly there was dust everywhere.” No one was killed but 88 were injured and 7 were transferred to the hospital.
