– The French Socialist Party (PS) lost Sunday in the second round of the local elections. For PS President François Hollande, this is considered a “dramatic and historical defeat” for his party. They lose Toulouse, Pau, Reims, Saint Etienne, Limoges, Ajaccio, Roubaix, Belfort and Quimper. The spokesman of the Socialist government said that the election result was “undeniably bad”. The government must “re-engage in a dialogue with the citizens.”
Marine Le Pen of the National Front is a happy woman today.
